'Something pretty' crochet blanket ta dah

Welcome,

At last I finished My 'Something pretty' blanket.....
120 glorious granny squares :o)
2 whole months making!
organising the colours...
stitching them together,a lap blanket!
its all coming together....

 pretty....
The sun is setting, but I cannot stop, just one more.....
slowly getting there, another days stitching up....
120 squares, now for a border, there's another day tomorrow, so addictive.....

A single crochet border and all complete. My proudest achievment in My little crochet world so far!

love,light and twinkles,
x Julie x

  1. Absolutely beautiful and what an achievement. I only learnt the art of crochet a week ago and I can see why so many love it and your blanket is certainly inspiration as I would love to see one on my boys beds this coming winter xx

  6. What a gorgeous blanket!! Really, the colours are all so gentle and soft, and I love the random placement of them. I see someone asked if you are on Ravelry ... it really is a great place (free sign up) and there is so much there for inspiration and lots of patterns available (many of those are free too!). Wendy :)

  31. Oh what a lovely blog with so much to inspire us.
Your crocheted rug is so very beautiful and I see that you have those gorgeous birds visiting your garden! Doesn't that make you feel so blessed.
Isn't Tasha Tudor such a legend? Love visiting her home and garden. Our dear old neighbour looked identical to her so my memories and love of this women are very strong plus I'm in heaven in any lovely garden.
    Sending hugs,
