The week thats been...

This past week We've had snow like you wouldn't believe ~ tons of it!

Its been a week of trying to stay warm, not helped by our heating breaking down,  I remembered the days when I was little, before heating, waking up to ice on the inside of the windows, seeing our frozen breath....
A valve had broken in the pump,it was fffreezinggggg  here!!!!!!!!!!!

A week of fun ~ schools been closed ~ A reading week for My son at Uni and exams, but still there was time for lots of fun in the snow...

I've loved watching the birds hopping around in the snowy garden, little birdy footprints being left behind...
magical.
I've been making sure there has been plenty of food and fresh water for our feathered friends.

And I'm most excited to see a pair of blue tits have started nesting in our new nest box, we put up at the end of last summer  :o)

A week of eating warming, comfort food, stews, rice puddings, fish and chips!

A week for lots of crochet, I'm up to about 40 of these pretty little squares.

Cosy days, putting My feet up, enjoying old magazines.

A week for being and appreciating.....    Enjoying all of the little things in life....

I hope your's has been a good week too?
Back soon lovely friends, XxXxXx

  8. Just wonderful, sh and kids off school on Monday, but eldest son still had to go to uni and I still had to go to work.

I have enjoyed the snow, taking so many photos!
Ahhh, the olden days of yesteryear....as a child I used to love the ice patterns on the windows, I used to imagine that the snow queen had iced them up with her breath as she peeled in!

  16. Same as our week too! Glad to hear about your blue tits - I love it when the birds take up residence in our garden, last year we had a wren in an old kettle! Can we possibly call it one of the the first signs of Spring? x

  18. I love your photos! I must say that I am a little tired of winter already. It's snowing here, but I don't think it's enough to warrant a snow day. Darn!
