Hello lovlies, how are you, well I hope? On Sunday we put up our Christmas tree, its Miss T's birthday on Friday and We've always put the tree up for her since She was small.
A while back I signed up for lovely LaaLaa's Christmas Advent swap (http://hookinwithlaalaa.blogspot.co.uk/ ). I was partnered with Sarah from Squiggling about http://squigglingabout.blogspot.co.uk/ and We agreed to do 12 small gifts, one every other day until Christmas Day.
My first lovely gift was sewing notions. They are so lovely and I'm going to keep these goodies for a quilt. I love the paper Santa bags, Sarah packed up the gifts in too, so cute.
The 2nd gift I opened today was a selection of lovely old Ladybird books.
Thankyou so much Sarah I love them.
I've wanted a Welsh dresser for ages and have serious dresser envy on lots of ladies blogs ;0) I've been looking out for a bargain one all year but havent found one yet.
I do however have a plate rack in the kitchen which I decided to Christmassy up a bit. I made some little felt bunting and put up some little Christmassy niknaks and star fairy lights!
I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
I've managed a few grannies here and there and am making it wider,up to 106!
And as I turned My back...
Jack and rosie got comfy :o)
I'll leave You with a piccie of My Birthday flowers, they have opened out beautifully :)
Thankyou always for Your sweet messages they really make My day.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead xxxxx

Hello my sweet and darling friend and sis! Your Christmas tree looks so beautiful! I hope you darling girl has a wonderful birthday! Give her a hug from her auntie Paula! :D I love your sweet gifts! Oh, the fabric and buttons are so pretty dearest! And the books too! I know how you love those! I am so happy for you sweetie! What fun! I pray you can find a dresser! I have dresser envy too! I love how you sweet and creative British girls decorate them! I love what you did with your plate rack. So pretty and sweet! Your grannies look beautiful! I wish we could crochet together. I love my crochet blanket! It keeps me warm and cozy and feeling loved because you lovingly stitched it for me! Yesterday my Annie doll was using it, as you will see in my next post. Hee hee! Rosie and Jack are just like my doggies. They LOVE to get on anything I am making. If you put it on the floor, they must try it out! Your birthday flowers look beautiful! Lots of love my sweet bestie! xoxox~Paula
ReplyDeleteNice goodies the tree looks so beautiful we will put up ours on Saturday

I love your plate rack and it looks very festive! Christmas is such a fun time but decorating takes time. It is good to attach things to a tradition like your DD's birthday to put up the tree. It moves things along well.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the extra squares for your Granny. It is coming along nicely. I have not posted my snowflake afghan lately as it is so much of the same photos. I have almost the 59 done but want to continue and make it bigger I think. Hope to share it soon as I want it done for Christmas...
Hugs from Holland ~
Heidi

What fun the advent swap is - wish I had taken part. The little books are so sweet and indulgent - hope you read them to yourself sometimes. I like dressers and plate racks too - I do have a dresser and always plan to paint it in a distressed kind of way then never find time. I think our homes are completely a reflection of us, don't you? Your plate rack is a lovely way to display pretty things. Betty
